Featuring the Sterling Dining Table and Windsor Chairs by Bush Home

Area rug size:
Integrating an area rug into your dining space is a great way to add color and texture. Opting for a washable rug makes it a very design-savvy choice. Ensure that your area rug extends 2 feet beyond the length and width or circumference of your table so that all four legs of your dining chairs are placed on top of the rug.

Adequate Space:
Make sure there is adequate space around your table for easy movement. If your table is too large or if a sideboard is positioned incorrectly, it can lead to overcrowding. It is important to ensure that there is a minimum of 3 feet of space between the back of your chair and the wall or any large furniture item, like a sideboard.

Lighting:
Proper dining room lighting is crucial for setting the right atmosphere. It is recommended to position the bottom of your dining room light fixture at a height of 34-36 inches above your dining table.

Add greenery:
Enhancing your design with an organic element is always a good idea. It introduces a pleasing touch of greenery that brings coziness to your space. Consider incorporating some large branches on your sideboard or table. This brings me to my next suggestion: avoid cluttering your table with overly intricate decorations.

Display a simple centerpiece:
To maintain an elegant look, opt for a simple centerpiece. For daily table decorations, simplicity is key to avoid having to constantly relocate it. Consider using a large vase with branches or a shallow bowl with greenery or textured items.
